Emergency Vehicle Skills Review/Training for Law Enforcement

This course is open to all sworn Patrol personnel in both Sheriff’s Offices and Police Departments.

Attendees can expect a range discussion where both Federal and State of Idaho laws will be presented for review regarding the use of law enforcement vehicles. Driving decisions and handling will be covered, to include basic drills, intersection approach, U-turns, and vehicle approach for awareness/safety.

The following will be specifically discussed/presented:

  • Civil liability
  • Traffic Stops
  • Officer Safety
  • High-Speed Breaking
  • Intersection Clearing
  • Collision Avoidance
  • U-Turns
  • Backing
  • Multi-task driving

*Please come to the location with your patrol vehicle and regular duty equipment.

This course IS NOT POST CERTIFIED, but will be counted as MTRS hours.

Chad served 23 years in Idaho law enforcement. As a commander, he achieved Advanced Patrol and Level III Detention certificates. At ICRMP, Chad trains law enforcement personnel with the highest level POST-certified training available to law enforcement and offers 30 state-wide certified classes. He also assists agencies in developing their own certified training departments.
