Firearms Training for Law Enforcement Movement/Transitional Shooting – Night Qualification

This course is open to all sworn Patrol personnel.

Attendees can expect a range discussion where both Federal and State of Idaho laws will be reviewed regarding the use of deadly force. Firearm decisions and handling will be covered, to include movement drills, multiple threats, and public awareness/safety. Attendees can expect to move with full equipment, respond from a seated position from a patrol vehicle, and address targets from non-conventional shooting platforms. At the conclusion of this training a night qualification will be administered.

  • Graham vs. Conner
  • Tennessee v Garner
  • Firearms Manipulation
  • Low-Light Shooting
  • Movements and Shooting
  • Reloading Techniques
  • Malfunctions
  • Transition drills

Please wear appropriate range attire! Bring your issued duty equipment, issued pistols, issued rifles backup weapons, issued ballistic vests, issued flashlights, safety glasses, ear protection, and a ballcap.

This course has been approved for 4 hours of POST training credit.

Chad served 23 years in Idaho law enforcement. As a commander, he achieved Advanced Patrol and Level III Detention certificates. At ICRMP, Chad trains law enforcement personnel with the highest level POST-certified training available to law enforcement and offers 30 state-wide certified classes. He also assists agencies in developing their own certified training departments.
