High Risk Patrol Procedures/Vehicle Operations

This course is open to all non-sworn positions for both Fire Departments and Ambulance Service Personnel.

Attendees can expect a classroom discussion training, where problem solving, and decision making will be discussed. Responding to calls, balancing of handling critical calls for service and case laws surrounding use of emergency lights/sirens for such calls. Federal legal updates for 2022 will be given, and your policy guidelines will be compared.

  • Qualified Immunity
  • Plumhoff v Rickard
  • McRaven v Sanders
  • Idaho Code
  • Summary Judgement
  • Scott v Harris

This course has been approved for 2-hours of POST training credit.

Chad served 23 years in Idaho law enforcement. As a commander, he achieved Advanced Patrol and Level III Detention certificates. At ICRMP, Chad trains law enforcement personnel with the highest level POST-certified training available to law enforcement and offers 30 state-wide certified classes. He also assists agencies in developing their own certified training departments.
