Special Needs Citizens for Patrol

This course is open to all sworn or non-sworn personnel in any division of Law Enforcement or related public service agency personnel.

Presented through a combination of classroom lecture and practical exercises, this 4- hour course will provide students with principles and techniques that will help them better handle inmate situations where citizens have special medical/mental health concerns. Included in this topic will include preferred communication techniques to deescalate the situation.

This course has been approved for 4 hours of POST training credit.

Chad served 23 years in Idaho law enforcement. As a commander, he achieved Advanced Patrol and Level III Detention certificates. At ICRMP, Chad trains law enforcement personnel with the highest level POST-certified training available to law enforcement and offers 30 state-wide certified classes. He also assists agencies in developing their own certified training departments.
